HOLLY BUNCHES OF OATS– YUM YUM READ EM UP!!

Hello! I’ve got a lot of reading to do for my Bio105 class so… I’m just going to jump right in… Right into my YUMMY breakfast this morning:

Kashi (Blueberry Crumble Cereal.. so good) + Organic Blueberry Greek Yogurt! Tasted like dessert for breakfast.. And some grapes!

Then… I packed a snack/lunch to eat in my English class:

whole wheat sandwich thins + natural crunchy peanut butter and strawberry jam!

After classes I headed over to the gym!! I love the gym! So, of course I was super hungry and ready to refuel when I got home… So: To replenish:

whole wheat sandwich thin + smoked salmon and creme cheese... fat free cottage cheese + pineapple and cinnamon! Protein, grains, fruit, little dairy!!! and I had a camera shy banana!

…. Packed a snack for the studio… tonight’s the long night…

apple and string cheese!

When I got home from the studio I was VERY hungry… So… Dinner was SUPER and WACKY

Wacky mac (veggie noodles) + tempeh (cooked in soy sauce) + mushrooms + zucchini + little mozzarella... and a simple salad!

And for dessert:

pineapple!

 

Alrighty- Off I Go (which is a GREAT song by Greg Laswell) to do homework and get some sleep!

 

Valentine snacks- February 17, 2010

I just have to show you the CUTEST valentine snack from yesterday… Definitely NOT the healthiest though-

Alright… now that I’ve shown you my indulgence… here’s TODAY! 

This morning began with what ever I could find… I was in desperate need of some store time!

*coffee *grapefruit *whole wheat sandwich thin + avocado and creme cheese!

Then.. packed my big snack for my loooonggg tuesdays on campus:

Pineapple, Kashi bar, key lime pie fat free yogurt (which I'll never eat again because it has Aspartame in it), smartfood multigrain popcorn, and some nuts/dried fruit mix!

**Of course, that didn’t fill me up.. So, I stopped by the EUC (Elliot University Center) to grab a banana and some peanut butter!**

When I got home from campus I could only do 1 thing… GO TO THE STORE!!! Oh boy.. it was great! As you all know- I love the grocery store and taking my time to read labels and make sure that there are no horrid ingredients in what I consume!! Needless to say– I did not read the oreo label when I had some last night.. because if I would have… well, I would not have consumed them! But… I really have decided to be WAYYY more conscious about ingredients.. I mean, Indulging once in a while is quite important but I always want to be conscious of exactly what I am putting into my body! 

So… After I put away the groceries I did a little home workout and then made some dinner:

SALAD time!!! Mixed romaine lettuce, yellow pepper, mushroom, cottage cheese, and a drizzle of orange poppy seed dressing.

*I had 3 stone ground crackers + avocado as well… and a bite of Haley’s amazing oven-baked-dill-covered potatoes!*

So… I’m off to do some homework and drink my “sleepy time tea”… Check out the message printed on the tea bag:

YES! Yes, they will!

Well! Hello! Long Time- No Post…. alright, Moving on…

FEBRUARY 9 2010

What a yucky day outside! But I’ve got the joy joy joy inside.. so, it was all GOOD!

And.. it began early with a tasty breakfast:

*Coffee *Blueberry Greek Yogurt + grapes, half a banana, and a little Kashi on top! That is some REALLY purple yogurt... but really good!

Then I packed a HUGE snacky/lunch because tuesdays are SOOO long.. I’m on campus from 9am-5pm! Yea.. I get HUNGRY!

*Organic String Cheese

*Apple and Eve- Cranberry Apple Organic Juice box (such a fun treat) 

*Kashi “cereal” bar- Baked Apple Spice… very good!

*Sweet Gala Apple

*honey & multigrain smartfood popcorn… really tasty and sensible too! 

**So- You’d think all this would hold me over… well- After class at 4:45 my stomach was about to eat itself.. So, while I waited for my dear friend/roomie Hailey to get off work I consumed a small whole wheat quiznos sub (tuna + lettuce + tomato)!**

When I got home… Straight to hot tea… that I spilled on my food journal (I’ve kept that thing since August!)… Some would forget about the tea after such a sad spill… but I say: If at first you don’t succeed soak up the water and boil some more! So- Tea, round 2, was a success! And accompanied my spanish homework nicely!

Then it was time for  a small dinner #2…

Faux- whole wheat sandwich thin + avocado, creme cheese, and salsa (SOOO GOOD)! And a few all-natural blue corn chips + salsa!

**Now.. I’ll finish up my homework and then get to bed.. sleepy sleepy sleepy…*
